Driving
If you think the Audi R8 looks special, wait until you fire the engine. The normally-aspirated 4.2-litre V8 (proudly displayed under a glass engine cover, just like a Ferrari) roars into life, and once on the move delivers impressive performance from 2,000rpm. At the far end of the rev counter, a red line of 8,250rpm means astonishing acceleration. Audi R8 have a proper performance engine. But be very careful with Audi R8 gearbox choice; the R Tronic paddleshift system is OK, but it distances you from the drive. The same can’t be said for the superb six-speed manual, while the brakes are progressive, strong and reassuring.
Audi R 8 it’s an enormously capable and user-friendly machine, with scarcely believable amounts of grip. None of Audi R8 rivals could keep pace on twisting roads during our tests. However, it doesn’t have quite the same involvement of the scalpel-sharp Porsche 911, and its responses are slightly numb in comparison.

Audi Blinds the Frankfurt Crowds with Mirror Finish R8 5.2 FSI V10

Together with the supercharged S5 Sportback, the stunning R8 Spyder, the A3 1.2 TSI, the A4 3.0 TDI and the futuristic e-Tron Electric sports car concept, Audi also showcased a blindingly shiny R8 5.2 FSI V10 coupe in a chrome finish - you know, of the same sort that we make fun of when we see parked outside ritzy hotels in Dubai... There's nothing official on the car by Audi but we gather that it will probably provide the inspiration for a custom made job.

Audi cars history:
August Horch and Müller Slytherin began in the late nineteenth century design for the construction of cars thereby gives rise to the founding of the Horch brand in spring 1899 in Zwickau, near the city of Chemnitz. In an almost dizzying pace for the season, the Horch produced five different models until 1909. This year, Horch, due to disagreements with the directors decided to abandon the project.
How Horch lost the rights to the name of the company then created, had to rename the same but with another name. Horch elegantly sidestepped the issue, adopting as its own new brand name, but translated into Latin: Audi. Audi vehicles sold in 2006 905.100
